Taxes are collected at the Town Hall two times in December and two times
in January for those who wish to pay in person, dates to be determined.
Those paying by mail will only receive a receipt if a self-addressed, stamped
envelope is enclosed with your payment.
Payments made after February 1st need to be sent directly to the Marathon
County Treasurer, 500 Forest Street, Wausau WI 54403. Late payments sent
to the township will only arrive later and incur more interest and penalty
Dog applications are available on this website for you to print. If your dog’s
vaccine is up to date, you do not need to send vaccine papers. Hence, if it
has expired since your last renewal, please send/bring proof. If the dog is
new to you, please enclose proof of vaccine and it will return be to you.
Building Permits are also available through the township. In the case of a
home, contact your plumber to get a sanitary permit. When you have that in
your hands, you may make an appointment and a permit will be written for
you. Accessory buildings just need a permit. Application and your payment
need to be sent to Marathon County and they will in turn send you their
approval and hard card to post.
As of 2015 fee schedule is as follows:
Residential homes $165.
All other principal buildings (including Commercial & Industrial) $220.
Additions & Alterations $110.
Accessory Structures >350 square feet $110.
Accessory Structures <350 square feet (including piers, wharfs & walkways) $ 75.
Accessory Structures < 350 square feet (tarp or fabric covered frame) $ 25
Board of Adjustment $415.
Zoning Change $415.
